Undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Fine Art (Painting) in Coral Gables, FL. Studied art in Florence, Italy. Classes at Parsons School of Design and The Art Students League of New York. After a fulfilling career as a Psychologist, I now live and paint in Vero Beach, Florida.

Life on a barrier island, regardless of its location in the world, is exquisitely tenuous, creating a tension between past, present, and future. This awareness informs what and how I paint.
Many of my paintings focus on interpreting how I perceive the ocean, sky, trees, and wildlife around me. Others express reactions to the state of the
Life on a barrier island, regardless of its location in the world, is exquisitely tenuous, creating a tension between past, present, and future. This awareness informs what and how I paint.
Many of my paintings focus on interpreting how I perceive the ocean, sky, trees, and wildlife around me. Others express reactions to the state of the world. Still others delve into the unconscious of memories. My paintings are often layered or reworked because I do not stop until that aha moment arrives.
Here and now, I pursue a dialogue with nature exploring its mystery through abstract and representational artwork, often illuminating Vero Beach, Florida’s unique personality as well as its dreamscapes.

My Inspiration
Images I see or photos I take often inspire me initially. But when I have a canvas in front of me and a paint brush in my left hand, I follow my instinct, intuition, and knowledge of form and color theory. I am always surprised.
